Dor-Wood Supported Community Projects & Grants
As you can imagine, Dor-Wood Optimist Club receives many requests for funds and manpower.  In order to give every potential project our full consideration, we have developed request forms that MUST be completed and accompany any request for money or manpower.
Please complete the appropriate form and include it with any other pertinent information.  Click on one of the designated buttons to the right which will open an application document that you can print/complete/submit for either Funding or Manpower.

Please note that NO CONSIDERATION FOR REQUESTS WILL BE PROCESSED WITHOUT THESE COMPLETED FORMS.  When completed, mail to the address shown on the last page of the request.  We look forward to giving your project our full consideration.

Tower Garden Project

STEAM PBL - Kettering Elementary Schools

Supported by the Dor-Wood Optimist Club of Kettering, OH

Provides a monthly delivery of personal care products to Kettering Middle School & Van Buren Middle School students in need.

Dor-Wood has sponsored 9 Junior Optimist
(JOOI) youth clubs.

In July 1965, a discussion between Past    International President Carl Bowen and former FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover resulted in the birth of the Respect For Law community activity. This is the fourth most popular Optimist activity with more than 1,500 clubs  participating  each year. Dor-Wood honors area law enforcement each year.
